Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TEBOT — the Discord bot, the web dashboard at tebot.app, the documentation at docs.tebot.app, the status page, and any related services (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by the developer of TEBOT ("we", "us", "our").
By adding TEBOT to a Discord server, signing in to the dashboard, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
The Service is built on top of Discord. You may only use the Service if you can lawfully use Discord under Discord's Terms of Service, including meeting the minimum age required in your country (at least 13, higher in some regions). By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.
2. Your account
You access the dashboard by signing in with your Discord account via OAuth. We never see or store your Discord password. You are responsible for activity that happens through your Discord account, and for ensuring that only people you trust hold permissions (such as Manage Server) that grant access to TEBOT's settings for your server.
3. Using the Service
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for managing Discord servers you are authorised to manage. You agree not to:
- use the Service to break the law, or to violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines;
- use the Service to harass, threaten, defame or harm others, or to distribute hateful, sexually exploitative or otherwise unlawful content;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users' data, or servers you do not have permission to manage;
- probe, scan, overload, disrupt or interfere with the Service, or attempt to circumvent rate limits, security measures or Premium feature gating;
- reverse engineer, decompile or copy the Service or use it to build a competing product;
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission; or
- use automated means to create accounts, generate load, or scrape the Service.
4. Your content and configuration
The Service lets you create and store configuration and content — for example banned word lists, custom commands, autoresponder text, embed designs, welcome messages and scheduled messages ("Your Content"). You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a licence to host, store, process and display Your Content solely as needed to operate the Service.
You are responsible for Your Content and for what TEBOT posts in your server as a result of your configuration. We may remove or disable content or configurations that violate these Terms or applicable law, and we may suspend servers or users involved in serious or repeated violations.
5. Premium subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription ("Premium" and "Elite"). Subscriptions are billed per server, in advance, on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at purchase). Unless required otherwise by law:
- subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from the dashboard, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period;
- fees are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable consumer law or we choose to grant one at our discretion;
- we may change subscription prices or what each tier includes with reasonable advance notice — changes apply from your next billing period, and if you disagree you may cancel before it starts;
- if a payment fails or is charged back, we may downgrade the affected server to the free tier until payment is resolved; and
- payments are processed by third-party payment providers, and their terms also apply to the transaction.
If you cancel or a subscription lapses, Premium features stop working but your configuration is retained for a reasonable period so it can resume if you re-subscribe.
6. Third-party services and content
The Service depends on Discord and other third-party platforms and may be affected by their availability, policies and API changes. The Patch Notes module republishes update information from game publishers' official sources for your convenience; all game titles, trademarks and patch note content belong to their respective owners. TEBOT is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc. or any game publisher.
7. Availability and changes to the Service
We work hard to keep TEBOT online (see the status page), but the Service is provided without any uptime guarantee or service level agreement. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features — or the Service as a whole — at any time. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature you have already paid for, we will aim to provide a proportionate remedy such as a partial refund or credit.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including the TEBOT name, logo, software, design and documentation, is our property or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than the limited right of use described above. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes what data the Service collects and how it is used. By using the Service you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by removing TEBOT from your server and signing out of the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service (in whole or for specific servers) if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) survive.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that moderation features will catch every unwanted message, or that patch notes will always be timely, complete or accurate. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose (or £0 if you have only used the free tier). Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from Your Content, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or the rights of a third party.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give notice — for example on this page, on the dashboard, or via our Discord server — before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them — except that if you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections and venue rights granted by the laws of the country you live in.
